ChemQuest Terms of Use

By using ChemQuest you agree to these terms. They are short - please read them.

What ChemQuest is

ChemQuest is a revision aid for GCSE Chemistry, written to follow the AQA specification. All questions, mark schemes and learning content are original and written for ChemQuest. ChemQuest is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to AQA or any examination board.

No guarantee of results

We work hard to make the content accurate and exam-relevant, but ChemQuest is a study aid, not a replacement for your school course, teacher or the official specification. AI-generated marks and feedback are automated estimates and may occasionally be wrong. Your real exam results depend on you - we cannot guarantee any grade.

Your account

Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
Choose a sensible username - offensive or impersonating usernames may be removed.
Do not attempt to cheat leaderboards, abuse the AI features, reverse-engineer the app or disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

ChemQuest Pro

Some features (such as AI marking of written answers and AI answer explanations) are part of the ChemQuest Pro subscription.

Subscription: ChemQuest Pro.
Length: 1 month, renewing automatically each month until you cancel.
Price: £6.99 per month in the UK. In other countries the price is set by the app store and is always shown in your own currency on the subscription screen in the app before you buy.
Billing: payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us, and is charged to your app store account when you confirm the purchase. It renews at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Cancelling: cancel any time in your app store account settings - on iPhone, Settings > your name > Subscriptions; on Android, Play Store > Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription - cancel it in your app store settings as above.
Refunds are handled by the app store you bought through, under its own policy.

Fair-use limits apply to AI features to keep the service available for everyone.

Liability

ChemQuest is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
